This role is for a Developer who needs to be highly flexible, hard working and willing to put in 110%.

My client requires an expert PHP Developer to help develop and maintain new and existing PHP projects. The ideal candidate would be someone who is an expert with the LAMP stack but is also keen to learn new skills such as .NET. This position requires excellent communications skills, both oral and written. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Development.

Required Skills

· To carry out web development in various technologies: will be principally PHP, with CSS/HTML core, although will need to be able to turn hand to a number of different technologies:
o PHP 4 and 5
o Apache
o MySql and Postgres
o Symphony, CakePHP, Zend Framework, Code Igniter, Smarty
o AJAX
o JQuery/PrototypeJS
o HTML/CSS/JavaScript
· Other skills that are not essential but would be an advantage (at any level)
o C#
o ASP.NET
o IIS
o Visual Studio 2008
o Sql Server 2005



More on technical requirements

· Good experience in creating/interfacing with web services/API's using XML messages
· Good understanding of MVC architecture
· Good understanding of design patterns and object oriented design
· Ability to create technical documentation
· Administer external servers
