Job Title: Nortel IPT Engineer/Analyst Location: Malaysia Job Type: 1 Year contract Main Role: Assisting in new/enhanced IPT services and determine operational impact and supportability of service. Assessing impacts of non-standard IPT solutions on the operational network and it's support for the organisation. Carry out day-to-day IPT related changes which include: New request, Project hand over, Evergreening, etc Involved in problem management process Guide project lead/engineer through the appropriate SERVICE ASSURANCE processes and procedures at each and every point during the project implementation. Ensure right staff being allocated for SERVICE ASSURANCE in collaboration with SERVICE ASSURANCE resource planning and allocation. Potentially to work in 24x7 shift. Responsibilities: Monitors internal & external events and analyses their impact on the IPT system and initiate corrective actions. Responsible for regular reporting to Service Management on non-standard components. Responsible for assessing the impact on the managed network infrastructure and it's supporting organization when a non-standard solution is required. Responsible for the administrative actions related to the non-standard solution request to make sure documentation, training, publications and announcements occur. Responsible to test new products to be in-line with service definitions and service levels. Responsible for the administrative actions related to the review of GST's (of both SERVICE ASSURANCE and A&D). Professional Skills: Graduates in IT, Telecommunications or related fields NCSS (Nortel Certified Support Specialist) or NCSE (Nortel Certified Support Expert) will be an MUST Min of 5 years relevant experience - emphasis on Data, Voice and Internet Security. Knowledge of ITIL processes. Nortel IPT experience with Signalling servers, Media Gateways, Voice Media Gateways Cards, Call Servers, Call Pilot, Telephony Manager and Element Manager using the CS1000 S/B/T/E systems. Cisco IPT knowledge with Call Manager, CUBE, Gateway/Gatekeeper, Unified Communications System, Cisco VoIP, QoS, CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) will be an added advantage.
