Job Description
==========
Senior Engineer, Telecommunications

Receives general supervision and is competent in most phases of telecommunications network analysis to work on own and requires only some general direction for the balance of the activities. Evaluates client requests for new or modified voice and or data systems, software and hardware.Assists client and development area management in the design and implementation of new or modified networks.Develops specifications and technical implementations. Implements systems, configures networks and resolves client problems.

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

Education:
 Graduation or diploma with relevant experience
 Nortel Certification will be preferred

Skill Sets:
 MSS
 EPABX
 Call Pilot
 CDR
 Verint call recording system
 Video Conference
 Teleconference
 Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conference
 Documentation, Report generation and familiar with MS office suite, MS project and MS Visio

Major Responsibility:

 Requires manage the IP/Telephony, EPABX, Nortel infrastructure MSS, EPABX, Call Pilot, CDR and Verint

 Provide both Installation and configuration and troubleshooting of Nortel voice Infrastructure

 Thorough knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and principles within the IP telephony and VOIP Nortel network environment

 Working knowledge of telecommunication networks and environment

 You will maintain devices in a network management platform as well
as monitor and report network activity.

 Participate in a 24 x 7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance as needed

 A high level of understanding of common L1-L2 Networking protocols

 Excellent consultative and communication skills

 Analytical ability and strong judgment to meet expectation of users

 Ability to work effectively, efficiently as individual and with Team

 IT Management, users’ management and Vendor management

Responsibilities:

 Evaluates client requests for new or modified voice and/or data systems,
Software and hardware.

 Assists client and development area management in the design and
implementation of new or modified networks.

 Develops specifications and technical implementations.

 Implements systems, configures networks and resolves client problems.

 May assist and help train lower level engineers.

 Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
