SYSTEMS ADMIN - (LAMP/WINDOWS) + PHP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS- SOUTH LONDON

A Leading consultancy based in South London is looking for a dynamic flexible LAMP/ Windows support specialist with some PHP/MYSQL development experience.

Due to the multi-tasking nature of the environment the candidate will be expected to spend 60% of the time focusing on Server Admin and managing communication with the clients hosting companies.
The candidate will be expected to provide support to users and also to the development team and also some client systems support.

• Acting as key point of contact for Window and Linux server administration and managing communication with our hosting companies.
•Recommending changes to our current IT infrastructure to facilitate growth of the company
•Setting up and administrating an Exchange server for all company email
• Some 2nd line desktop support which will include MS office admin, email (Exchange 2000/2003 and Outlook and networking issues).

Due to the team sizes and work streams it is expected that the candidate will also help a small team of developers to create web applications based on PHP5 and MYSQL 5 technologies.

The role will focus around 40% on work of this nature. Therefore it is important that the candidate is multi-skilled. The candidate will possess development and full support experience of a LAMP environment.
Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years + experience in such a position with a blue chip company or consultancy.

This way they can join the development teams when servers and systems are running smoothly.
