Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering (2010-11)

Fulfilling the mandatory requirements of Indian Electricity Rules, 1956, amended in 1981

Why you should Join? The main aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector. The course improves and enhances the knowledge and skill of the diploma engineers sponsored by the power utilities.

About the course: This course is of one year duration (2 semesters) and covers all aspects of Operation and Maintenance of Thermal Power Plants. Formal coaching shall be held at the regional institute of NPTI, located at Durgapur (west Bengal). On-job training is conducted at the nearby Power Stations. The course authorizes the diploma holders to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station of capacity 100 MW and above together with the associated sub-stations.

Eligibility: Three years diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from a recognized technical board of the state with minimum of 60% marks with I class/I grade (55% marks for reserved categories)

Selection procedure: As per merit (% of marks in diploma)

Age limit: 27 years as on 01.01.2010. No age limit for sponsored candidates.

Total seats: 50 (fifty) provisional. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged and other categories is applicable as per govt. of India norms for non-sponsored candidates. The seats may be increased as per discretion of NPTI. 25% seats are reserved for sponsored candidates from power utilities having more than one year experience and more than 65% marks in diploma with class I/I grade.

Placement: NPTI maintains close linkage with Power Utilities for employment of non-sponsored candidates only. NPTI will not make any efforts for placement of sponsored candidates.

Fees: For non-sponsored candidates Rs 75,000/- (in two installment), for sponsored candidates Rs. 1,00,000/- payable in lumpsum at the time of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of candidates. Refundable security of Rs. 2500/- and Rs. 3000/- as transport charges for visit to power stations and industries are payable separately at the time of admission.

Lodging/boarding: Hostel charges of Rs. 21,600/- per annum (@ Rs 1800/- per month) per participant to be paid in two installments. Separate hotel facility for girls available. The Application form and Prospectus will be distributed from 10 am on 07.12.2009 to 06.01.2010 through selected branches of Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State.The amount towards the fee of application is to be remitted in cash at the Post Offices. Last date and time for receipt of filled in Application Forms : The filled in Application Form along with the OMR DATA SHEET and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application Form, are to be sent in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application form, so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on 06.01.2010 (Wednesday), by Hand Delivery/Registered Post/Speed Post. Note:- Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus and who seek admission to all the above mentioned courses in Government seats have to apply in the prescribed application form issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. There is separate Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering and Medical Courses conducted by the CEE and the allotment will be based on the rank in these Entrance Examinations. The CEE will not conduct any Entrance Examination for admission to B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA).

 

 

 

2. Eligibility for Admission:

(A) Nativity:

(A) Nativity:

(i) Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission.

(ii) Both Keralites and Non-Keralites are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as 'Keralites'. Others will be categorized as'Non-Keralites'.

(iii) A candidate will be considered as a 'Keralite', for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if (a) he/she or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he/she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he/she has undergone his/her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala. The candidate should obtain relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in the Prospectus to avail such benefit.

(iv) Candidates who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre. (v) Non-Keralites are classified as 'Non-Keralite Category-I' and 'Non-Keralite Category-II'. (vi) 'Non-Keralite Category-I' candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons/daughters of Employees of the Government of India, or,

employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the employees mentioned above should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years, or, have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years. Such candidates will be eligible for admission to the Government seats under 'State Merit' only, for all the courses, which are filled on the basis of the rank in the Entrance Examination(s) or the rank

list prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks in NATA and qualifying examination, as applicable.

(vii) Candidates who do not belong to the 'Keralite' or 'Non-Keralite Category-I' will be treated as 'Non-Keralite Category-II'. They are eligible for admission ONLY to the 'State Merit' seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-financing Engineering institutions sponsored by Government. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

 

Academic Qualification :

Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary Courses : Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. Those who wish to take admission to MBBS/BDS courses should acquire 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (As per the guidelines issued by Medical Council of India).

 

Candidates seeking admission to BVSc. & AH course under the Kerala Agricultural University, in addition to the qualification prescribed above, should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together (as per the regulation of Veterinary Council of India).

(ii) Eligibility of BSc. Degree holders: Those who apply based on their BSc. Degree, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS Courses, should have obtained their BSc. Degree with one of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Bio-Chemistry as Main, and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together, provided they have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

 

(iii) Engineering Courses: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/ Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission. Candidates having Three year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. However, these Diploma holders are not eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

(iv) Architecture Course : Candidates who have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate / Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks / Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates will have to score 40% marks (80 marks out of 200) in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).

 

Reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates should also have obtained 40% marks in NATA, as per guidelines of Council of Architecture. (For details, visit www.nata.in).

 

(C) Relaxation in marks in the Qualifying Examination : For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs. 4.5 lakhs (Rupees Four Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only). SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. But candidates belonging to SEBC categories, seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses, need 45% marks in Biology and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in Medical Entrance Examination. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in the Entrance Examination for seeking admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.

Age : The candidate should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2010.

Application Forms:

(a) ONLY ONE APPLICATION NEED BE SUBMITTED FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO ONE OR MORE OF MEDICAL, AGRICULTURE, VETERINARY, ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE COURSES.

 

(b) SC/ST candidates should apply in Sky Blue application forms and all other candidates should apply in the General application form (White). Candidates under 'Other Eligible Communities' (OEC) should apply in the General application form. Candidates who are children of Inter-Caste Married Couple, of which one is SC/ST, should apply in the form meant for SC/ST.

 

(c) Application Fee : General candidates - Rs.700/-

SC/ST candidates - Rs.350/-

Note:- Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40,000/- can have Application Form free of cost from the District Offices of the Scheduled Tribes Development Department on production of Community Certificate and Income Certificate.

 

(d) Application Distribution Centres : The Application form and Prospectus will be distributed from 07.12.2009 to 06.01.2010 through selected branches of Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State. (e) Application form : All candidates will receive the application form, OMR Data Sheet, an envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the Prospectus. Candidates should ensure that the Application number printed in the Application Form, OMR Data Sheet and on the cover are the same.

 

(f) Facility for applying online : Candidates who do not claim any reservation benefit and those belonging to Non-Keralite category can apply 'Online' through the website'www.cee-kerala.org'. On successful submission of the data online, an application number will be generated. The candidates should take a print out of this application. The application fee Rs.700/- can be remitted in any branch of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) using the chalan contained in the print out of the application. Print out of application complete in all respects along with original chalan certified by the Bank authorities and

other requisite certificates should be forwarded to the Office of the CEE before the last date specified for submission of application forms. Candidates who do not have access to State Bank of Travancore (SBT) can attach a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram, as application fee along with the application form (Application 5 Number and Name should be written on the back of the Demand Draft). Online application

process will be completed only on receipt of the print out of the application along with all requisite certificates, in the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

 

(g) Candidates opting DUBAI (UAE) as the Centre for Entrance Examination : Candidates, who choose 'DUBAI' as their centre for the Entrance Examinations, should submit along with their filled in application form, a Demand Draft for Rs.8,500/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Five Hundred only), drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the 'Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Those applying online should enclose Demand Drafts for Rs.700/- as Application fee and Rs.8,500/- as centre fee. The candidates opting Dubai centre should note that the examinations are conducted as per

Indian Standard Time (IST).

 

The filled in Application Form along with the OMR DATA SHEET and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application Form, is to be sent in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations supplied along with the application form, so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on 06.01.2010 , by Hand Delivery/Registered Post /Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also.

Eligibility Criteria : The applicant must be a citizen of India and should have passed the H.S.(10+2) or its equivalent examination. The general candidates must have to secure at least 50.00% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology taken together (40.00% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30.00% marks in English (for all categories). In addition, candidates must secure at least pass marks in the subjects individually including vernacular (or any other fifth subject) as mentioned below:
B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch :Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

For MBBS and BDS courses : In addition to the aforesaid eligibility criteria, the general candidates must have to secure at least 50.00% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together (40.00% for SC/ST) in the Joint Entrance Examination, W.B. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2010 will be allowed to sit for JEM-2010 provisionally and their admission, if merit listed, will be subjected to satisfying the minimum requirements of eligibility as specified above.

Age Restriction:Candidates must be 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31.12.2010. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering course for which the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.07.2010.

Residential Requirements: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Government Engineering / Technology Colleges, Govt. Medical and Dental Colleges as well as to Private Medical and Dental Colleges, must have been residing in the State of West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2009 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal.

Reservation :Reservation for SC/ST/PC candidates are as per  State Govt. Rules.

Examination Centre: To be located in the State of West Bengal and Tripura.

The last date for request for application-kit by post is 08.12.2009 and the last date for receipt of completed application form by Speed Post only is 12.01.2010. Request for application form received beyond the stipulated date as mentioned above will not be entertained and the Board shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for such non-receipt arising out of postal delay. The Application Kit may also be obtained from the Board's Office only with payment of late fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in addition to the actual cost of the form. The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive written test for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in two stages PMT-2010 screening and PMT-2010 main, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (78 seats) and B.Pharm (33 seats) courses in one stage PMT-2010 screening.

PMT-2010 screening shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2010 main examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi centre only.

For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2010 screening only.

Eligibility

Qualification: Passed intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together, (i) for MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidate and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates, (ii) for B.Pharm – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

Application form will be sent by speed/registered post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate's name and address on the back of demand draft). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm x 6 cm size must also accompany it. The envelop containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed 'Request for application for PMT-2010, BHU'.

Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Friday, the 19th February 2010.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(i) A candidate, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized medical college or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or from any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this examination.

(ii) However, a candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI), is undergoing 12 month compulsory rotating internship and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2010 can take up this examination. The candidate must produce a certificate from the head of institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March, 2010. But he/she will not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st March, 2010.

(iii) The cut off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges for the year 2010 will be 31st October 2009. The colleges recognized after this date will not be considered.

METHOD OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
(i) A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to send his/her application in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from our website www.hihtuniversity.org.
(ii) The candidate should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting (in capital letters) clearly and legibly.
(iii) Furnishing of false information or suppression of material information in the application form will entail disqualification and shall render the candidate unfit for admission. If ineligibility is detected at any stage, the candidature/admission will be treated as cancelled and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Further, the intimation in this regard will be sent to M.C.I. and concerned medical college for necessary action.
(iv) Incomplete application form will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained by the University in this regard.
(v) It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the correct address is filled in the Application Forms. The University shall not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form.
(ix) Application form complete in all respect alongwith a Demand draft for Rs. 1500/- (rupees one thousand five hundred only) should be sent to the Controller of Examination, HIHT University, Swami Rama Nagar, Doiwala, Dehradun 248140 (Uttarakhand) by speed post/registered post or deposited by hand at the office of the Controller of Examinations. (ii) The questions will be single response objective type. For each correct response a candidate shall be awarded four marks. One mark will be deducted for every wrong response. Zero mark will be given for the questions not attempted. More than one answer indicated against a question will be considered as incorrect response and will attract one negative mark.

(iii) The tentative number of questions from each subject will be as given below:-

Admission to Postgraduate Courses in Private, Medical & Dental Colleges of Karnataka for the Academic Year 2010 – 2011 through COMEDK Postgraduate Entrance Test and Centralised Counselling. (COMEDK PGET-2010)

Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have set up "COMDEK" to organise a 'Post Graduate Entrance Test', that would facilitate selection of candidates on merit for admissions to postgraduate courses offered by Medical and Dental Colleges run by its member. COMEDK PGET 2010 entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by central counseling (Single window system). The details of the arrangement made will be publicized in due course on our website, www.comedk.org. Candidates are advised to visit the Comedk website regularly for all updates

 

COMEDK PGET 2010 Important Dates

Start date for issue of online application: 01.12.2009

Last date for receipt of completed application forms: 31.12.2009

Last date for dispatch of admission ticket: 08.01.2010

COMEDK PGET-2010 test in Bangalore city only: 31.01.2010

Publishing of answer keys: 31.01.2010

Last date for receiving objections pertaining to answer keys: 06.02.2010

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have successfully passed all year of their MBBS/BDS from an institution recognized by the MCI/DCI and must have completed/completing their internship by 30th April 2010

Applications to be filled online on our website www.comedk.org after obtaining a DD for Rs. 1500/- in favour of 'COMEDK', payable at Bangalore (non refundable fee) and posted to the below given COMEDK address along with the DD and the documents asked for on or before 31.12.2009

Note: Neither the application forms or filled in applications will be sold or received in COMEDK office or any member institutions

MCI / DCI Norms:

Every student, selected for admission to the Post Graduate medical / dental course in any of the medical / dental institutions in the country, shall possess recognized M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical / Dental Council or should obtain the same with in one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college / institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post Graduate studies; Provided further, that temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subjected to the condition that such person is duly registered as medical practitioner in his own country from which the applicant has obtained his / her basic medical / dental qualification and that his / her degree is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority.

As per the Post Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2010) for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be __ for General Category candidates and __ for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBC as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time).

As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test (COMEDK PGET-2010) for admission to Post Graduate Dental courses shall be 50% for all the candidates (Reference: DCI. Letter No. DE 14-2004/1135 dated 05 May 2004).

Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those students who become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India Regulations.

About COMEDK PGET 2010 Test

The Entrance Test COMEDK PGET-2010 is mandatory for all candidates seeking admissions to Member Institutions of COMEDK. A merit / rank list is generated based on the candidate's scores in COMEDK entrance test.

As part of our test process, to ensure fairness to the merited students and to eliminate fraudulent attempts, it is planned to use Biometrics (Fingerprinting) at various stages of the process and this would be done at the discretion of COMEDK

MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES

IGNOU invites application for the following Degree/ Diploma Programme in Management:

Master of Business Administration (MBA), or

Diploma in Management (DIM), or

Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM), or

Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), or

Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), or

Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), or

Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM).

 

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

 

The MBA Programme consists of 21 courses in all. These comprise of :

 

l All the courses in PGDIM (Eleven Courses) i.e. MS-1 to MS-11

l Five courses from any one of the specialisation streams

l Compulsory Courses (MS-91, MS-95) and one elective course (MS-92/93/94/96/97)

 

All the above programmes have multi-media design, using technology aided delivery systems. These are offered through countrywide network of study centres. The University will be admitting the students for the above degree/diplomas in Management starting from July 2009 through an entrance test 'OPENMAT' to be held as per schedule given below.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES

The following eligibility criteria has been approved by the Academic Council at its 46th meeting held on 13.01.2009 (AC 46.39.3).

 

i) Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks for reserved category;

 

OR

 

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience.

 

ii) Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. The candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by institutions like CAT, MAT and State level tests need not appear in OPENMAT.

 

FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Foreign students residing in India are eligible to seek admission in IGNOU programmes who have valid student visa for the minimum duration of the programme. Such students are required to remit the fee at par with foreign students (fee structure of foreign students could be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in). Admission of foreign students residing in India will be processed by the International Division of the University after ensuring their antecedents from the Ministry of External Affairs/Ministry of Human Resource Development.

 

Programmes with fixed number of seats are not opened for foreign students.

ADMISSION TO MBA (MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME) FROM DIM

AND PGSDM

 

Those who are Non-graduates and who have successfully completed DIM would be allowed to get admission

into Management Programme (MBA), without re-appearing in Entrance Test (OPENMAT), after completing

Bachelor's degree, if they so desire. In such a case they should send the re-registration form alongwith the

marksheet and copy of the Bachelor's Degree to the concerned Regional Director for getting admission to MBA, within the dates prescribed by the university for re-registration. Normally the dates are 1st February to 31st March and 1st August to 1st October for respective semesters.

 

The students qualifying any of PG Specialisation Diplomas, if desirous of pursuing MBA, may do so by registering for other courses. However those who have done PG Specialisation Diplomas under Direct Entry stream prior to 1997 will have to qualify OPENMAT test and apply for credit transfer by paying requisite fee on prescribed form to the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 as per credit transfer rules.

 

ENTRANCE TEST (OPENMAT XXVI, OPENMAT XXVII and IGNOU OPENMAT XXVIII)

 

Admission to Managem ent Programmes of IGNOU is done through OPENMAT Entrance Examinations,

held twice a year.

 

For appearing in the entrance test (OPENMAT) a student has to fill up APPLICATION FORM FOR OPENMAT

ENTRANCE TEST– Form 1 which is provided separately in an envelope alongwith this STUDENT HANDBOOK

AND PROSPECTUS. Please see the instructions for filling up the ENTRANCE TEST Form at pages 133.

 

You need to send the form in the same envelope attached in the Prospectus by Registered/Speed Post so as to reach on or before the last date printed on the application form. No other document is required to be submitted alongwith this form. The Entrance Test will be held on the following dates:

 

OPENMAT XXVII Exam Date - 07.02.2010 (Sunday 10.00 A.M. — 1.00 P.M.)

Last date of submission of of the entrance test form (Form 1) University Headquarters - 15.12.2009

Eligible to take admission in (validity of openmat score) - IInd Sem., 2010 (July, 2010)and Ist Sem., 2011 (January, 2011)

OPENMAT XXVIII - 22.08.2010 (Sunday 10.00 A.M. — 1.00 P.M.)

Eligible to take admission in (validity of openmat score) - Ist Sem., 2011 (January, 2011) and IInd Sem., 2011 (July, 2011)

Last date for submission of of the entrance application form for admission at the concerned Regional Centre alongwith Result Card, Identity Card and other relevant documents - 30th November, 2010 & 31th May, 2011

 A student can appear in anyone of the above OPENMAT Examinations. If a student wants to appear in more than one OPENMAT Examinations s/he is required to apply separately.
