You understand how applications interact with the systems and know how to work within a development team. You have made mistakes and learned from them. You know how to build tools to make your job easier. You will be part of a small development team making decisions about how we deploy our applications in our first production environment. You want to contribute at an early stage to make sure the job is done right. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years in operations, systems architecture and design for rapidly growing web properties. Requirements: You should have 5+ years of contiguous software development experience, with strong experience with C and PHP. Experience with modern software engineering practices and paradigms - we want you to develop beautiful code which is a pleasure to look at and is easy to maintain. Experience in application, database and storage development and administration. Experience with online services as. Experience in Unix/Linux systems administration. Experience building tools to assist users and scripting skills. Experience working with databases (Postgres, Oracle or MySQL). Experience in ecommerce applications development Software management and release systems (SVN, CVS). Network administration experience a plus. Application security experience a plus.
