Work on a team of software developers in Cisco-India as part of Voice Technology group that is responsible for developing IP telephony applications and services.

This position requires working on core IP telephony audio/video recording features and associated protocols that enable the integration of the product with other applications and Cisco/partner products.

As part of this group, the candidate is required to

�demonstrate a strong knowledge in SW design, implementation, test and documentation,
�write and/or provide input to functional and design specifications,
�champion new, improved design methodologies including the design of interfaces between products and components to ensure interoperability,
�develop complex, multiple modules of code without supervision.
�Lead multiple modules and team members and be recognized as the product/solution expert
�debug and troubleshoot complex problems at the system level,
�contribute to the development of project goals, schedules, and resource planning,
�identify and resolve problems found during internal integration/verification testing and at customer sites,
�write major portions of unit, integration, and regression test plan and complex automated test scripts,
�interface with other product teams and functional groups such as TAC, QA, Documentation, Product Management, etc.
�participate in Cisco's Patent Program.

Skills required:

- Java programming skills, including multi threading programming
- Real time audio/video an related codecs
- IP telephony knowledge, SIP, VXML, MRCP
- Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Linux
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Experience with system level analysis of complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication, team and people skills.
- Web based application development.
- Experience in network programming (using TCP/IP)
- Ability to work with customers to resolve problems.
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Knowledge of data networking


Highly desired:
- Contact Center knowledge/experience
- Knowledge of CTI protocols
- Understanding of third-party call control
- Agile methodology

Educational Background:

Bachelor or Master in Computer Science with 5-8+ years of relevant experience
