Experienced PHP Programmer Wanted in China to Help Save the World

We are a renewable energy company ( http://www.enf.cn ) that has been growing quickly. We have over 30 staff in China, 7 Europeans and the rest Chinese (all fluent in English).

We run the world's most popular solar energy website, which helps save the world by helping solar companies be more profitable (more suppliers to source from, more people to sell to).

We urgently need more programmers in our company as we are having serious trouble in finding local PHP talent (China is quite ASP focused in education). We are outsourcing one of our big developments, but most other work needs to be done in-house as it relates to our core directory.

Our requirements are:
- Advanced PHP abilities. Some level of expertise please, you need to be teaching our staff how to do things in a better way, not our staff needing to teach you.
- Excellent English, to communicate fluently with colleagues
- Knowledge of Joomla would be useful but not essential
- We are on a quite basic framework, and knowledge of something like CakePHP to upgrade our core codes to a more advanced level is a plus

The salary is low compared to Western standards, but we pay our Western staff double the salary of our Chinese staff and it allows a nice lifestyle in our very affordable city of Wuhu, Anhui Province.

We would ideally like someone to stay for at least a year, but I am happy to consider a 6-month contract (which could be further extended if you are happy to continue).

Salary is 4700RMB/month plus ~10% bonus plus accommodation. We pay for work visa and flight costs.

No offers for remote working please - we are only interested in some programmers coming to our office in China.

To apply, please send your CV to kit (at) enf.cn with some examples of PHP web work you have done. Please do not apply if you are new to PHP - we need people with experience.

Thank-you.
