Overview :

We are seeking a talented Server Engineer who has provided production server support in a high traffic, consumer web environment.

Responsibilities:

Ensure production servers are supported (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP and Java)

Respond to alerts/emergencies

Proactively monitor the health of the system

Build, configure and deploy new hardware

Provide performance & capacity planning

Develop PHP and Linux scripts



Skills for success include….

Advanced Linux server support experience.

Advanced Linux scripting skills

Experience with Nagios and Munin network monitoring tools

Good understanding of Java, LAMP, ActionScript and Smartfox

Strong ability to thrive in fast paced, technology driven culture.

Strong ability to be resourceful and provide solutions quickly.

Strong ability to deliver world class support to software development teams.

Passion for having fun and interest in the gaming industry highly preferred.

Notes:

Candidates should be prepared to provide 24/7 support. Typical shift is 9-6 but rotational on call duty and monitoring support will be required.
