Nokia Services has an opening for Senior Developer in their Bangalore, India office within Shared Service, desktop development team. The Senior Developer is a key contributor individually or as a member of the team. Personnel at this level are expected to serve in a lead role with minimal guidance. This position requires a minimum of four years experience of software development, knowledge of software development methodologies and a strong emphasis on quality. Job Description: Senior Developer, Javascript JS Framework Core Javascript experience 4+ yrs in Javascript Mandatory Skills: JQuery Open Source technologies DOJO MOOTO YUI Library Experience in Advanced Javascript Should have good experience in OOPS concept UI Design Exp in Web technology toolkit Opened position: 4 Qualifications/Requirements Proven expertise across a broad spectrum of Web 2.0 technologies (Ajax/Javascript, DHTML, XML, JSON & web services APIs) Cross-browser development (IE 6/7, Firefox) using JavaScript, XHTML, XSL, CSS, and XML Expert in any of the JavaScript framework or JavaScript library (Prototype, DOJO, YUI,GWT, JQuery, etc) 2-3 yrs experience in Object Oriented JavaScript, XHR, Script compression, custom builds Must have built custom widgets, gadgets portlets etc that work in cross browsers (IE7, IE8, Firefox 3.x, Safari etc) and cross platforms (Windows and Mac OS ) Expert level understanding of DOM management Unit testing and debugging using tools like Firebug, Yslow Experience building high performance web sites and portals . Mandatory Skills BE degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject A minimum of 4 years of experience in the full software development life-cycle Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and/or orally, both in one-on-one and group presentation situations. The ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and project management in both the business and the technical areas, with the ability to keep discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction. Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with the ability to move cleanly from theoretical to implementation thinking. Attention to detail. A track record of customer service and business integrity.
