Skills:
• Basic understanding of networking and TCP/IP
• Experience developing C code on an embedded system
• Basic understanding of writing code in a multi-process, multi-threaded environment (understanding the pitfalls)
• Web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of using Ajax to facilitate web browser and server data exchange and web page updates
• Understanding of the necessity of proper code documentation
• Being aware that cross-browser issues can plague web projects on various platforms like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari and the use of JavaScript libraries like jQuery to mitigate this problem.
• Willingness to do some self-study to pick up new skills and tools
• 3-5 years of C development experience in an embedded (or Linux) environment
• Experience doing web development on an embedded system a plus
• Experience writing multi-process (or multi-threaded) code in an embedded environment a plus (some basics will be covered in training.)
• 2-4 years of web development experience. Good understanding of Javascript, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience with jQuery a plus. Experience with PHP helpful.
• Exposure to web usability and page design a plus
• Willingness to employ problem analysis and debug skills
